DDR for the Wii
Dance Dance Revolution is the original video game that got people on their feet. It’s a game where you have a pad with 4 or more symbols on them. As the symbols, which are usually arrows, drop down you have to hit them on the pad as they hit a certain point on the screen. The concept is pretty simple. The practice is not. Being able to play DDR well takes quite a bit of skill and determination. Once you really start to get good it becomes extremely gratifying. Being able to see yourself hitting all of those notes while barely thinking about them is a great feeling.
Plus it’s a great source of exercise. Thanks to all of the new motion tracking technologies found on all of the major platforms all sorts of exercise games are coming out. They can be extremely boring. All they try to make you do is basically bring a gym to your house. Except this gym doesn’t have any weights or real machines. When you are playing DDR you burn tons of calories. And you’re able to have fun while you’re doing it. Plus you’re able to listen and dance to your favorite songs. Exercise really doesn’t get any better.
